The sketches were my original ideas and thoughts and how I wanted to create a model in relation to my narrative of the Vermeer's painting 'The Geographer'

I had this idea of a room inside a mountain or a hill which highlight his workplace being enclosed and place being hidden and secretive.

Elevation

The borrows that allow the man to go out into the open also explore the recurring themes of the painting, the composition of painting was also explored how the way the painting was angled and positioned.
